Where is your shop?
We are located at 1710 East 2nd St. in Austin, TX.
What are your hours? Are you open when the weather is bad?
Our current shop hours are Monday: 10am-4pm, Wednesday - Thursday 10am-5pm, & Friday-Sunday 9am-6pm (Closed on Tuesdays). However, bikes are still available to be dropped off and checked out during the week by appointment.
Occasionally we have to close if the weather doesn’t permit good riding.
What do I need to rent a bicycle?
You'll need a valid ID (any state or country issued photo ID will do) and a credit card with a name that matches the ID. We don't keep your ID/card, we just take down your information as a security deposit.
Do I need lights?
If you plan on riding at night you will need lights. All of our rentals come with lights if you need them.
Do I need a helmet and lock?
Nope. We can provide you with both of those if you need them. You are responsible for your own safety and that of our bikes.
What do I need to bring for a tour?
Wear comfortable clothing and closed toed shoes. Please no sandals or flip flops. Our bikes have water bottle cages, so bring water.
When and how long is the tour?
Our daily tours usually last between 2 - 3 hours. Maybe a bit longer if we’re having just too much fun!
I'm not a great bike rider, should I try this?
If you are renting, you should feel comfortable riding on the street with light traffic as well as groomed hike and bike trails. If you are taking a tour, let us know how much you ride and how fast you want to go. Even though Austin is on the edge of the Texas Hill Country, downtown Austin is fairly flat for the most part. Most of our tours are like "walks on a bicycle" rather than a race. But if you want to book a private tour and ride fast, then you're on!
What is your cancellation policy?
Tours: If a reservation is cancelled with at least one weeks notice, a 100% refund can be issued to the guest. If it is cancelled under one week but more than 48 hours, we can offer a 50%. If the reservation is cancelled with less than 48 hours until the reservation, no refund will be issued.
Rentals: Must be cancelled at least 72 hours prior to reservation otherwise no refund will be issued.
For our larger festival weekends like SXSW, F1 or ACL, there are no cancellations less than 7 days prior to pickup date.
Our tours go out rain or shine. Its an adventure! However, we will cancel our tours if we think the weather is unsafe. If we cancel due to the weather, then we will provide a 100% refund.
Where can I park?
2nd street is a public road, so you can park along the street close to our shop for free unless otherwise stated.
what is the minimum amount of people on a tour? What is the maximum?
The minimum amount of participants for each tour to ensure the tour isn’t canceled is only 2. The maximum is 10 riders for our food & beverage tours. All of our other tours can have up to 12 participants. If you’re hoping to have a larger number than that—no worries! Shoot us an email and we can help arrange something special for you, depending on our availability and schedule.
Is Gratuity for the guide included in the tour price?
No. But if you enjoyed your ride, please tip your guide! For groups larger than 6 or for custom tours, a 20% gratuity will be added to your total bill.
are there vegetarian options on the taco tour? What about vegan?
The two stops for our taco tour are currently Rollin Smoke BBQ and Lazarus - each stop does have at least one or a few vegetarian options, though most come with cheese on top. They can certainly be made vegan—just be sure to ask for no cheese upon ordering.
